Well, we have been up for the better part of the past 48 hours so I am rather rummy about now. We did manage to get bits and pieces of sleep on board our EVA flights, but not enough to be coherent.

As we approached our landing in Singapore, I was amazed by the number of ships in the harbor.

When we finally arrived in Singapore earlier today, we took the local MRT transit train from the airport into town. The station was only a short three-minute walk to our hotel. Their transit system is clean, modern and easy to use as well as being reasonably priced. For the two of us, it cost $5.00 Singapore dollars, which at today’s rates equals $3.64 USD. Pretty great rate for about a 1/2 trip and much more reasonable than a taxi.

After checking in and a quick shower we jumped back on the MRT and headed to Gardens by the Bay to spend the afternoon and evening.

But since I am in desperate need of a good nights sleep and it is almost midnight Friday night local time, I am going to forgo any more writing and simply share some pictures taken in the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and the Supertree Grove.

Flower Dome ~ was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2015 as the world’s largest glass greenhouse.

Seeing the Supertrees and the evening light and sound show was truly the highlight of the day. I shot some video, but too tired tonight to even take a look at it to see if it turned out. We did take the OCBC Skyway through the trees which gives a bird’s eye view.

GRATITUDE MOMENT: Today I am grateful for safe, smooth travels to Singapore. It was LONG flights, but so happy to have a chance to see a city that has been on Tim’s wish list for many years.

We would love to have you join us and follow along. And feel free to share and/or comment below.
