It seems like forever since we have traveled. But in reality it has only been a few months. I’m so excited to be on our way again.

We are all checked in, through security, and patiently waiting in the KAL Lounge at LAX for our 4:55 departure on Air New Zealand.
When I think of The Netherlands several pictures come to mind; wooden shoes, windmills, canals, tulips, Hans Christian Andersen and a little boy with his finger in the dyke. I can’t wait to explore, camera in hand to see how many of these classic images I can capture.
I hope you will decide to tag along with us as we explore Amsterdam, Belgium, Paris and the rivers of France!

I cannot wait! Out of all the blogs I follow yours gives me the most bang for my buck, so to speak. I follow some for other reasons, but for just the sheer pleasure of getting to view countries, places, and special sites on your journeys, getting your take on how people and countries feel, whether or not to rent a car, travel by train, or just hoof it, cannot be beat! You do it better than anyone else! I follow another travel blog, a nice young lady, but she gets paid to travel and her descriptions and stories get put in hotel brochures, airplane magazines and the like. So she could be dodging rockets somewhere in Israel and you would not hear a thing about that. It would all be peaches and creme and beautiful scenery, she does not want to bite the hand or hands that pay her way! So I follow kind of tongue in cheek, but I still get to see a lot of the world through her rose colored glasses, so I hang in there.

You are right, we do not get paid by anyone, and my writing is simply my own thoughts and experiences. I do it for the pure joy of taking the pictures, seeing some amazing sites, and the reward of being able to share our journey with others.
