Well, we have been up for the better part of the past 48 hours so I am rather rummy about now. We did manage to get bits and pieces of sleep on board our EVA flights, but not enough to be coherent.  Continue reading

On the road again ~ On our way to Singapore (with last minute changes)!

Wednesday, March 2nd

Yes, please…

Hello Family and Dear Friends! We leave this evening for a LONG flight to Singapore via Taipei, Taiwan. This will be our first time using EVA Airlines and I am curious to see what we think of them. They have been rated quite well on Trip Advisor and on Airlineratings.com they got a top 7/7 score on both product and safety.

Leaving late Wednesday evening from Los Angeles, it will take us 20 hours and 35 minutes to get there if everything is on time. Since we are traveling half way around the world, with the time zone changes, it will be midday on Friday the 4th (Singapore time) when we arrive.

On this journey we will be gone a month. Here’s a recap of what we were supposed to be doing:  Continue reading

This was taken in March, 2014 in Delhi, India. It was our first full day there. We were a bit jet lagged and definitely over whelmed by all the sights, sounds, smells, color, confusion, traffic and people.

In other words, it was love at first sight…  Continue reading

Yoghurt, honey and opium seeds

Two years ago near Konya Turkey

At our morning coffee stop we had the option of trying a local specialty ~ fresh yoghurt made from goat milk, with a large dollop of honey and then covered generously with opium poppy seeds.  I really enjoyed the combination of the tart yoghurt, sweet thick honey and the crunch of the poppy seeds.  Continue reading
