We have been blogging and documenting most of our travels for the past ten years. Our fabulous “family” of subscribers has continued to grow and there are many who are new and may not know how our travel journey began.

Tim and I have been traveling together almost since we met at a seminar back in January 1990. Our first major trip was in the summer of 1991. We had just become engaged and planned on starting our own business.

We realized that once the business was open and running that we would have very little, if any time (or extra money) to travel for quite a while. So, we purchased a van, gathered up a few pieces of clothing, packed some camping equipment, and took off for two months to drive a circle around the USA.

Taking the southern route from California to Florida, up the east coast to Maine, back across the northern part of our country and finally dropping back down through Utah and Nevada to reach home.

We absolutely loved our time together, the many fabulous places we had seen, and National Parks and sites we had visited. The travel bug had infected us!

Over the next 20+ years we got married, worked incredibly hard growing our business, raised our son and managed to get some more adventures squeezed in. Some of the highlights would include cruises with our family to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Alaska, through the Panama Canal and Mexico.

We were also fortunate to be able to do some International traveling (some for business, but mostly for pleasure), spending time in London, Paris, Rome, Spain, Eastern Europe, Korea, Guatemala, Peru, Russia, Greece, Turkey, China, Japan, New Zealand, Tasmania and Australia. This was all back in the days of film cameras and before we started blogging so sadly only bits and pieces of these journeys got “documented” other than with old fashioned photo albums.

But our “serious” traveling began 10 years ago…

GRATITUDE MOMENT: Today I am grateful for the amazing opportunities we have had to travel and share so much of the journey with others through this site. The friends we have met are priceless to us. It amazes me how many we are still in contact with regularly. Blessed indeed!
