Joshua Trees in Bloom

April 11th ~ Driving from Kernville toward Los Angeles

Highway 178, heading south toward Los Angeles (more purple flowers on the hillside)

Another wonderful RV road trip was coming to a close. This was a short get-a-way, only one week, but it was a pleasure to witness so many amazing areas vivid with wildflowers.

Lake Isabella – through the RV window (poor coloring)

Our route home from Kernville took us past Lake Isabella and south on Hwy 178. The highlight of this route was seeing the Joshua Trees in full bloom.

And the sky provided unusual lenticular cloud formations for our viewing pleasure.

Clouds shaped like flying saucers

GRATITUDE MOMENT and A special thanks: Tim and I are so appreciative of the many friends, family, fellow travelers, bloggers, and all those who stumble upon us who take the time to read, share, and/or comment. We have been writing about our travel adventures for six years now. What started as a memory tool for me, has now become both a hobby and a fun way to share where we are and what we are up to. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your kindness, encouragement, support, love and for joining us on our journey.

WOW – In all of the trips we took around California for over ten years, we never happened on Joshua trees in bloom. Thanks for the photos of these beautiful trees in bloom.
Can’t wait to show DH your “lonely road” picture. They always stir his soul!

Joanne, in your gratitude moment today you thank your blog followers…Know that countless of us THANK YOU. Your amazing blog has taken me literally all over the world, to places I’ve never seen and sometimes never heard of — and with unique perspectives on those I have seen. I often read the same blog entry two or three times, so as to really absorb it. And the way you truly get inside the spirit of places and their inhabitants rather than just give us touristy stuff is very special. Move over Rick Steves and Art Wolfe. 🌏🌎🌍
