Brooklyn ~ Our Fall Foliage Cruise Begins

October 7th

Joanne and Tim with New York Skyline

Our time in New York City came to an end and we made our way from the Upper West Side of Manhattan to Brooklyn via Uber. The private car ran $39 plus tip.

We will be on the Regal Princess for seven days. Ports of call include Newport Rhode Island, Boston Massachusetts, Bar Harbor Maine, Saint John New Brunswick and Halifax Nova Scotia before returning to New York.

When we entered our cabin, a beautiful bouquet of flowers greeted us. Tim had arranged for them to surprise me for my birthday. Feeling loved!

GRATITUDE MOMENT: Today I am grateful to be celebrating my birthday on a cruise with my very thoughtful husband. The crew and our new dinner companions sang happy birthday in the dining room, our cabin steward placed a sign and balloons on our cabin door and I received so many loving and kind messages from friends around the globe. Sometimes getting older is not a bad thing 😘

I disembarked a couple of days before you embarked. Your photo of lady liberty is much better than the one I grabbed with my cell phone.

Happy Birthday! Enjoy the Fall colors and your cruise boat! I continue to enjoy all of your posts. Thinking of buying that Sony Camera for my upcoming Australia trip. Will buy the V. How many batteries do you travel with for that camera?

    • I recharge it every night, but still carry a spare battery with me at all times. I think the camera is worth the investment and hope that you will be pleased with your results. I know that the small size certainly makes it convenient because I can always have it with me. It is also good in low light so we can capture pictures inside that might otherwise be blurry.

A belated Happy Birthday and isn’t it lovely to have such a thoughtful husband? We cruised for the first time in Alaska in September on the Star Princess and it looks very similar to yours. I am still working on the blog posts from Alaska, have only covered the land portion of our trip so far, but will eventually get to the cruise. I am looking forward to your cruise pics of the northeast.
