One month down, and two and a half more to go on our Epic RV Summer Road Trip!

Well, that’s it – a fantastic month in the books!
GRATITUDE MOMENT: Today I am grateful that we are becoming more and more comfortable every day with learning the ins and outs of RV living. We were a little skittish to begin this long adventure as relative newbies, but we are getting into some routines, are managing to keep ourselves clean, fed, and even get some sleep. Life is good!
We would love to have you join us as we continue further up north toward Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks and into Canada.

Thank you for your posts of informative text and gorgeous photographs. If you don’t mind, would you mind sharing the camera you use? Perhaps write a blog post about the camera, how you take photographs, tips, tricks, that kind of thing?

Jean, most of our photos are taken with a small point and shoot Sony RX100 on the auto setting. But occasionally we snap something on our iPhone as well. The animal shots are taken on Tim’s big Nikon with a long lens. Thanks for the suggestion of doing a blog post about how we take our pictures.

I am enjoying your travel blog. My husband and I will be making a trip from our home in Ohio to the area next year and you have given me so many ideas of where to stop. Last year we traveled to Yellowstone and places in between. We took 7 weeks and enjoyed the trip so much so we are really looking forward to next year. We may make a swing up to the grand Tetons because we missed it last year because of fires. We loved the beauty of Wyoming. We stopped at Fort Laramie (not Laramie the city). North of Cheyenne. It was fascinating to learn about the movement west and actually see wagon wheele ruts and the rock where they signed their names and the dates (also over run with current graffiti). Please include the name of the camp grounds you are staying in. We spent 10 days at the full hook up camp in Yellowstone. It was a great experience with herds of bison wandering through all the time. Also saw a grizzly eating a bison in the river – exciting to say the least.
Can’t wait to hear more of your travels.

Beverly, it sounds like you and your husband are travel pros. The Grand Tetons are well worth including on your itinerary. Watching the grizzly must have been both thrilling and gruesome at the same time. Wishing you a fantastic trip!

Sounds like we’ll be there a week before you. We arrive on the 7th for six nights. Enjoy Yellowstone. We visited last year. Couldn’t stop taking picks of pools in the ground. They are all so different. Early and late in the day are best. Mid-day is bulging with tourists and selfie sticks.

We may get up there before you leave, but hard to tell. Last time in Yellowstone we sat and waited for almost every geyser to erupt 🙃 Oh those selfie sticks…

Until we get out of the cities and hit the roads, I don’t think most of us realize just how enormous and diverse our beautiful county is. What joy in discovering new places!

What a beautiful part of the world. The U.S. can’t be beat for its amazing National Parks. You have got me totally excited for Grand Teton. That photo of Jenny Lake is amazing. Any recommendations for a must-do hike there? I look forward to reading about Glacier National Park.

These pictures are amazing, and even so I’m not sure they do justice to the real thing! I miss the USA and can’t wait to go trekking there again. Anything that caught our eye in Oregon?

It is impossible to fully capture natures beauty in pictures. This is such gorgeous country. If you have not already visited Crater Lake, the Oregon Coast and Ashland, I highly recommend all of them.

Your trip and these wonderful photographs helped me revisit some of my favorite places. I especially like the photograph of Bear Lake. I spent eight years in Logan, Utah, and Bear Lake was a playground my husband and I visited often.
